À propos

Digital Nova Scotia’s Skills for Hire Atlantic (SFHA) – Growth Edition is an accelerated upskilling program designed to support participants advancing beyond entry-level roles in Cybersecurity and Data + AI. The program emphasizes job readiness, role clarity, and practical application of skills in real-world environments.

As participants progress in their careers, industry insight and professional networks become increasingly important. To support this, the SFHA Growth Edition includes a short, focused mentorship sprint that connects selected participants with experienced professionals from Atlantic Canada’s tech ecosystem.

This mentorship experience is intentionally time-bound and high-impact, aligned with the fast pace of the Growth Edition. Rather than open, ongoing mentoring, participants are curated and matched with mentors based on alignment of experience, interests, and career goals.

Mentorship connections are facilitated through Mentorly or direct email introductions, depending on mentor preference. Selected participants typically engage in one focused 1:1 conversation, with the option of a second session where capacity allows.

Mentors generously volunteer their time to share insights related to: - Career progression and readiness for mid-level roles - Job search strategy, resumes, and interview preparation - Employer expectations and workplace realities - Industry trends and opportunities in Atlantic Canada’s tech sector

The SFHA Growth Edition mentorship experience is designed to provide clarity, perspective, and actionable guidance at a key stage in participants’ career journeys, helping prepare them to contribute meaningfully to a thriving tech sector across Atlantic Canada.
